Summary
This bill will establish a minimum sentence of one year (upon conviction) for a drug crime involving a gang, committed violently or with a weapon, or by a repeat offender. The minimum sentence will be two years if the crime is committed in or near a school or place frequented by minors, in prison, or with the help of a minor.
The bill also imposes minimum sentences for growing marijuana plants.
