Summary

This bill makes many small ammendments to the Bankruptcy Act, the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, and the Wage Earner Protection Program Act. The ammendments cover everything from bankruptcy taxes to trustee conflicts of interest. The most interesting thing that I found in this bill is that it contains more words (19693) than there are seats at the Air Canada Centre (18819). You are warned.

Bill History

This bill is the same as Bill C-62, which was left passed at Third Reading at the close of the first session of the 39th Parliament. It was re-introduced as C-12 on October 29th, 2007. It was deemed read and passed a third time.

Royal Assent - December 14th, 2008
